Across companies such as Amazon, Apple and Nike, it’s unsurprising that CEOs earn some of the world’s largest paychecks. Although many of these companies pay employees decent wages, there is often a dramatic pay gap between average workers and CEOs. CEO Salary: $5,800 per hour
Employee Salary: $15.00 per hour

Best Buy initially focused on audio-related products and was called Sound of Music. Since then, the retailer has expanded to sell all kinds of electronics from over 1,100 locations across several countries. CEO Corie Barry earns $12 million per year or $5,800 hourly, much more than a cashier’s average $15 hourly wage.

Harley-Davidson

CEO: Jochen Zeitz
CEO Salary: $4,600 per hour
Employee Salary: $79.89 per hour

Known for a distinctive chopper motorcycle style, Harley-Davidson is one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers in the world. Formerly CEO of Colgate and PUMA, Jochen Zeitz now serves as Harley-Davidson’s CEO and earns an average hourly wage of $4,600. Even with a significant wage gap, employees earn a healthy hourly wage of $79.89.

Netflix

CEO: Reed Hastings
CEO Salary: $19,700 per hour
Employee Salary: $17.00 per hour

Originally founded in 1997, Netflix has transformed from a film library into the revolutionary digital streaming service it’s known as today. Co-founder and CEO Reed Hastings earns $40.8 million per year for a $19,700 hourly wage, which is a dramatic difference to the average customer service representative wage of $17 per hour.
